The inspiration for this is called ‘Virtuous Contract’ and comes from the 2017 JRPG NieR:Automata.
It was designed as a reference to the signature blade of the android ‘YoRHa No. 2 Type B’ (‘2B’ for short).
In Nier:Automata, you enter a post-apocalyptic world in which androids fight machines. 2B is therefore one of the playable characters. An anime adaptation by the same creator was released in 2023, which shows one of the possible playthroughs of the action role-playing game with a few changes to the story.
This katana is designed as a collector's item or decorative object and is also ideal as a prop, e.g. to complete your costume or cosplay.
