Leather Torso with Cross Banding This robust, lightweight torso armour is crafted from high-quality vegetable-tanned leather. The front is adorned (and reinforced) with two leather bands forming a cross motif at chest level. Sturdy stitching ensures long-lasting durability. The chest and back piece are bordered with antiqued brass eyelets at the sides and shoulders and tied together with round leather cords. The back is composed of two panels connected to each other with five leather straps and antiqued brass buckles. The buckle straps are anchored into position with brass rivets. The combination of shoulder/side lacing and back straps makes this fine leather cuirass adjustable to a wide range of sizes. Owing to its simple (yet elegant) design, this leather armour lends itself very well as a basis for the representation of a broad array of historical and fictional/fantasy characters and is suitable for many time periods.
