Hand-forged beer spike with stand

Product information "Hand-forged beer spike with stand"

Hand-forged beer spike with stand

This rustic beer spike will impress your guests at every beer tasting.

Using the beer spike, how does it work?
An old blacksmith's technique for making beer smoother. The heated tip of the spike is dipped into the beer. CO2 is immediately released and the beer foams up. Now pull the tip back a little and heat the foam. You can smell it straight away. The beer foam caramelizes and when you drink it, it's like a warm kiss that seems to fly straight from the brewery's kettles.
Beers with an emphasis on malt, such as bock beers, are particularly suitable for spiking. Our recommendation: Ullr (Winterbock), Asathor (Doppelbock), Hymir (Imperial Stout), Surtr (Smoked Porter), Ratatöskr (Brown Ale).

Supplied without Bunsen burner.

The tip of the beer spike is made of stainless steel for hygienic reasons, the rod and the frame are forged from steel.

Forge of the North produces small series of hand-forged utility and decorative items designed by the blacksmith, metal designer and beer sommelier Helge Pahl.
