Product information "One-Handed Sword (Royal Armouries), Practical Blunt"

Late Medieval One-Handed Sword with Sheath, 14th Century, Royal Armouries Battle-Ready (Practical Blunt) This beautiful single-handed sword is a reproduction of a late medieval one-hander dated around 1310 A.D. The original was classified as a Type XVIIIa according to Oakeshott's typology and is on display at the Royal Armouries. This replica features a hardened spring steel blade which was tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 49-51 HRC. It is full-tanged and riveted to the pommel.
