Product information "German Flintlock Pistol, 17th Century, Brass, Replica"

German Flintlock Pistol, Blunderbuss, 17th Century, Replica

Decoration pistol with articulated mechanism
– NOT FUNCTIONAL –

Replica of a short German blunderbuss pistol from the 17th century, also known as an espingole pistol, tromblon pistol or dragon. This flintlock pistol featured a distinctive flared muzzle that facilitated the loading of shot into the barrel. Owing to its handiness, this firearm not only enjoyed great popularity with the cavalry, but also with naval forces and pirates alike.

The stock of this elegant muzzleloader replica is made of resin (imitation wood) with brass inlay. Except for the elaborate lock, all metal elements (barrel, ramrod and trigger guard) have an antiqued brass finish.

Our firearm replicas are solely intended for re-enactment and decorative purposes. Although the mechanism is fully articulated, this reproduction is not capable of firing. The ramrod cannot be pulled out.

A beautiful item for every collection and an indispensable accessory for re-enactors.
