Product information "Great Helmet (Pembridge Style) 1370 AD, 14G steel with liner"
- 100% BATTLE-READY -

This replica follows the helmet of Sir Richard Pembridge original, displayed in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh. The "Great Helmet" was often worn over a smaller, lighter helmet (for example secret helmet).

These helmets were common throughout Europe in the middle ages, and numerous contemporary images, miniatures and originals found in Germany, Flanders, England, Italy, Swizerland, Austria, etc. prove the popularity of this helmet type.

They were used during the famous battles of Crecy (1346) and Poitiers (1356).
